Adults need support too, and Dr. Julie is dedicated to working with her favorite "multi-taskers" - parents, university enrolled students, and professionals in helping roles. Online counseling is available for the foreseeable future, allowing easy scheduling and connecting.
You aren't alone. Parenting can be tough, especially when you have a child with high needs. If you are having difficulty regulating yourself when your child is dysregulated, are feeling a lack of control, are struggling to develop a bond with your child, or are feeling frustrated by your child's emotions - reach out. Services for parents typically last no longer than 12 weeks and include new ways to interpret your own behaviors and emotions, as well as your child's. Parents who have themselves experienced adversity or trauma during childhood may particularly benefit from this support. Supporting yourself may be the support your child needs. Reach out if you're interested in learning more.
University Students (through graduate)
Did you know that students in graduate school were recently found to be three times as likely than the average American to experience a mental health disorder or depression? Services for students typically last a minimum of 12 weeks and are intended to support those who are struggling to manage stressors from school, experiencing conflicting urges for their future, feeling grounded within themselves, and identifying and/or committing to a plan(s).
Professionals in Helping Roles
It's no surprise to many of us that burnout affects approximately half of all in helping professions (i.e social work, counseling, psychology). Practice what you preach and reach out for a little support. Providing counseling when you've never gone is an interesting predicament many of us have found ourselves in within the helping profession. Dr. Julie's services for professionals typically last no longer than 12 weeks and are intended to help you achieve greater balance with the circumstances you are in and develop goals for where you would like to be.
